~ On the Path to Becoming a Better Surgeon ~

My experience at Vidya Jeevan has been profoundly enriching , both professionally and personally, aligning closely with my aspiration to grow each day into not just a better surgeon, but also a better human being.

The exposure in OPD has been extensive, allowing me to sharpen my clinical acumen while simultaneously developing essential skills in patient communication, team coordination, and staff management. Over time, I have come to realize that effective patient care extends far beyond diagnosis and treatment. It is rooted in empathy, active listening, and the ability to build trust and reassurance with every patient interaction. This holistic approach has significantly shaped my perspective towards medicine.

The operative experience has been equally exceptional. I have had the privilege of gaining hands-on exposure to advanced procedures such as robotic total knee replacement (TKR) and shoulder arthroscopy under the mentorship of Dr. Harpreet Singh and Dr. Apurv Mehra. Their emphasis on meticulous planning, surgical precision, and patient-centered outcomes has greatly enhanced both my confidence and competence. Being actively involved in these procedures, rather than merely observing, has played a crucial role in strengthening my practical skills.

Academically, the journey has been deeply fulfilling. I have been fortunate to learn from eminent teachers such as Prof. Dr. S.M. Tuli, Prof. Dr. Sudhir Kumar, and Prof. Dr. Anil Dhal, along with other senior faculty members. Their ability to simplify complex concepts and share their vast clinical experience with clarity has been truly inspiring. The continuous academic discussions and stimulating learning environment have reinforced my belief that growth in orthopaedics is a lifelong pursuit.

Beyond clinical and academic learning, the fellowship has instilled in me a strong sense of discipline, responsibility, and teamwork. Working closely within a dedicated and driven team has taught me the value of collaboration and mutual respect in achieving the best possible patient outcomes.

With deep gratitude, I can confidently say that my journey at Vidya Jeevan has been truly transformative, a realization of long-cherished aspirations and a milestone that will continue to shape my path forward in orthopaedics.
